Two men are recovering after they were pulled from the sea when their boat capsized off the coast of the Isle of Wight.
The fishermen in their 60's were taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia after getting into difficulty near Cowes yesterday morning.
They were taken to St Mary's hospital in Newport after being taken ashore by the RNLI lifeboat.
The two anglers had left Bucklers Hard in the 14 foot angling boat and had got into difficulty when it capsized while they were putting out the anchor.
Watch Manager Matt West at Solent Coastguard says:
"The men rescued were not wearing their lifejackets, which were stowed on board. They were extremely lucky that the
particularly calm weather and atmospheric conditions out on the Solent enabled people on shore to hear their calls for help from quite some distance away."
