Man Charged Over Totton Armed Robbery
A man's been charged by police investigating a robbery where two armed men forced their way into a mum's home near Southampton.
A woman was punched in the face by two men with a gun who forced their way into her home on Testwood Lane in Totton last Wednesday - they stole £2,000 in cash.
The 35-year-old woman sustained a cut to her lip during the incident and was very shaken up.
Matthew Harfield, 34, of no fixed abode, has been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He will appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning (Monday February 27).
A 48-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary has been released on bail, to return on May 1.
