Husband Charged With Isle Of Wight Woman's Murder

The husband of a woman, originally from the Isle of Wight, has been charged with her murder.

The body of 50-year-old Heather Arthur was found at her home on Woodbine Road, in Gosforth, Newcastle, just after 11am on Monday 29th April. Police said she died from stab wounds.

Mark Conrad Arthur, 49, has been charged with murder and will appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 1st May.

Northumbria Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact them.
