Husky Stolen From Owner's Garden
Police are appealing for information after a Husky was dog-napped from its owner's garden in Southampton.
The animal was last seen in the rear garden of its home in Byron Road about 9.20am Saturday, December 1.
At about midday Sunday, December 2, the owner received a phone call from a man with a withheld phone number. He said he had bought the Husky for £250 and offered to sell the animal back to its owner for the same amount.
He told the owner he would report the circumstances of his purchase to the police. No report was made to the police, and the owner has not heard again from the caller.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the Husky in the area of Byron Road on Saturday or who knows someone who has recently acquired a Husky.
The missing animal answers to the name of Sasha. She is two years old, thin, with a grey white and brown coat and in season. She has a very noticeable white mark on her right eye.
The bitch has a red and white fabric collar and a gold barrel tag containing the owner's name and contact details.
Anyone who has information about the missing Husky is asked to contact PC Sarah Brazier at Bitterne police station on 101.
