A man has been charged following an armed robbery last month, at a petrol station in Brockenhurst.
At around 3pm on Bank Holiday Monday 27 May, a man entered the Esso Service Station on Sway Road.
He managed to get behind the counter and demanded money from the cashier, showing her a knife. He then ran from the store with several hundred pounds.
36-year-old Zak Mehta of no fixed abode was arrested in the London area yesterday. He has since been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place. He's appeared before Southampton Magistrates Court, where he was remanded in custody.
He'll next appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on 4 July.
A 29-year-old woman arrested at the same time has been released without charge.
