Man Dies In Isle Of Wight Crash

Police are investigating a single vehicle crash at Wroxhall on the Isle of Wight in which a 71-year-old man died.

Officers were called on Wednesday evening after a silver coloured Nissan Qashqai collided with a wall outside of the Four Seasons Hotel on Clarence Road.

Police tell us paramedics gave emergency treatment to the driver at the scene, before taking him to St Mary's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other vehicles were involved and no-one else was injured.

Next of kin are being told.
