Police Name Man Killed In Southampton Crash

Police are continuing to investigate after a man was hit by a car and killed on a main road in Southampton.

Officers are appealing for information after the fatal road traffic collision on The Avenue just after 4pm on Sunday 16 February.
        
A burgundy coloured Audi A3, travelling north towards Chilworth, was in collision with a 70-year-old man crossing the road near the junction with Saxholm Way.
 
Alan Cunliffe, from Chilworth, was pronounced dead a short time later at Southampton General hospital.
