Police are investigating an indecent assault on a young woman in Cosham, while it was still light.
An 18-year-old woman from Portsmouth was walking west along Southampton Road at around 6.30pm on Saturday 17 August.
Hampshire Police say she headed towards a bus stop on the north side of Southampton Road near the Allaway Avenue junction, a man approached her.
He indecently assaulted her before she pushed him away. The man then ran away towards the centre of Cosham. The woman was not injured.
The suspect was described as:
- White man
- Aged in his 40s or 50s
- Medium build with a beer belly
- Approximately 5 ft 7 ins to 5 ft 9 ins tall
- Short black and grey hair, under a black baseball cap.
- Wearing dark blue jeans and a black short sleeve t-shirt
