Motorbike Rider Dies In Hampshire Crash
A man's been killed after the motorbike he was riding hit a telegraph pole in Hampshire.
Police say the 48-year-old was riding a grey BMW motorcycle eastbound along the A272 at Bramdean, when he hit a telegraph pole, at about 5pm on Wednesday 17th April.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the man from Cheriton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions following the crash, which happened between Wood Lane and the B3045/Kilmeston Road. It was later reopened after police had carried out investigations, and repairs were made on the telegraph pole.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed collision or may have seen the bike before it happened to contact Sergeant Andy Tester in the Roads Policing Unit at Fratton police station, quoting Operation Readership.
