Mum Punched In The Face On Hayling Island

Police are trying to find a man who punched a woman in the face on Hayling Island.
The 21-year-old woman, from Hayling Island, was walking along the cut through from Beach Road to West Town Park with her young daughter shortly after 9.15am on Wednesday 14 May.
A man is reported to have grabbed her by the arm and when she pulled away he punched her in the face before running away. Nothing was taken during the unprovoked assault and the victim was left with a cut to her cheek.
The man is described by the victim as:
- White.
- Approximately 5ft 8ins tall.
- Medium to stocky build.
- Wearing a dark blue zip up hooded top, which was zipped up with the hood over his head and covering his face.
- Also wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms & dirty white trainers.
Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and are particularily keen to speak to a woman who was out walking her dog at the time and who spoke to the victim following the assault.
