Patrols Increased After Armed Robbery
Police patrols are increasing patrols in part of Southampton after an armed robbery.
Three men got into a property in Bitterne through an insecure back door on the afternoon of Saturday 23 February.
They fired a pellet gun at three peple inside and threatened them with a knife, demanding money - we're told they weren't badly hurt though.
The robbers searched the property and took an Apple iPhone 4 and a Toshiba stereo before leaving by the front door.
Officers are looking for three men and want to hear from anyone who may have seen the robbers exit into Liverpool Street. They also want to speak to a driver in Dover Street, who took one of the victim's to a friend's house.
Police tell us they have increased police patrols in the area to reassure the public.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Wiseman said "There is a team of detectives dedicated to this investigation, and we do not believe this is linked to any other cases in the area."
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Lee Murden at Bitterne on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
