Police are appealing for help in tracing a driver who witnessed a crash at the junction of Ibbotson Way and Rushington Lane in Totton.
At about 5.45pm on Sunday, June 20, there was a collision between a yellow and black Ford Transit tipper truck and a small silver Aprilia motorcycle.
The driver of a red car had passed the junction immediately before the collision and after seeing it happen, the driver went over to see if the injured motorcyclist was ok.
However, they left the scene before police arrived so officers were unable to get any contact details.
The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man, sustained a leg injury and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit at Totton would like to hear from the driver as they may be able to help in piecing together what happened.
PC Dave Dyer said: "The driver wasn't at fault but I would like to hear from them as they may have information which would help with this investigation."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Dyer, at the Roads Policing Unit in Totton, on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
Callers from outside Hampshire should use 0845 045 45 45.
