Police Still Hunting CS Spray Attackers

Police trying to trace four men who carried out an aggravated burglary in the Coxford area of Southampton are today releasing efits of two of the men they want to question about the incident.

Officers were called to an address in the Outer Circle shortly after 11am on Sunday, August 8, 2010.

A husband and wife, both aged in their 60s, challenged four young men who had entered the house without permission to demand money.

The husband received medical attention after he was assaulted and had CS gas sprayed in his face. His wife and two young grandchildren, who were also in the address at the time, were not assaulted and did not receive any injuries.

All four suspects left the address a short time later in a dark coloured saloon or hatchback car, which was last seen being driven towards the Palm Road area. Police have been trying to trace the men ever since and are following up a number of leads.

They now have efits of two the suspects and are hoping that by releasing them someone will recognise them.
