Portsmouth: Assault On Cyclist Filmed

Police are investigating an attack on a cyclist in Portsmouth, which was filmed by a man across the street on his phone.
The 29-year-old was punched in the face in Angerstein Road, past the Monmouth Road Junction and approaching Stamshaw Road, by a man who asked him for a light. It happened between 8.30 and 9pm on Saturday 8 February.
The victim reached into his pocket to get his lighter then the first man punched him on the right side of his face and knocked him over. He managed to get up and saw the second man on the opposite side of the road filming the assault on his mobile phone.
He was assaulted further and the first man then rode off on his bike.
The first man is described as:
White, late 20s, 5ft 10ins, athletic build with broad shoulders, brown hair cut short back and sides style, Portsmouth accent. He was wearing stonewashed blue denim jeans, dark-coloured zip-up hoody with an ADIDAS logo on the left hand side and three white stripes going down the sleeves.
The other man is described as white and holding a large white mobile phone.
Police Staff Investigator, Kyle Cherry, said:
"This offence was committed by men who were completely unknown to the victim.
"I would encourage anybody with any information regarding this incident to me contact me at Fratton CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
