Search For Men After Teenager's Death

Detectives investigating the death of a 17-year-old girl in Bournemouth have made a fresh appeal for help to find out what happened.

17-year-old Emily Longley from New Zealand was found dead in Bournemouth in May. The aspiring model had been living in the town and studying at Brockenhurst College in the New Forest.

A post mortem failed to show how she died and police are waiting for the results of toxicology tests.

Inspector Neil Devoto, Senior Investigating Officer, said:

“We are extending our enquiries to a wooded area between Queenswood Avenue and Copsewood Avenue, Queenspark, Bournemouth near to the address in Queenswood Avenue where Emily was found on the morning of Saturday, 7 May 2011.

“We are asking for information about two men described as in their late teens seen acting suspiciously in that area around 6pm the evening before she died, Friday, 6 May 2011.”

A 19-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were arrested and bailed over her death.
