Gosport Endurance Swimmer Anna Wardley's celebrating after succeeding in her bid to swim solo round the Isle of Wight.
It took the thirty seven year old twenty six and a half hours to complete the fifty six mile challenge for charity, which was three and a half hours ahead of schedule.
Heather Ewing, who is part of the support team says the public kept her going:
''Everywhere we've gone, every single person has know about it.
People have been putting money in the collection buckets for the three good causes that she's raising money for.
They've all turned out on the seafront to cheer her along during the final mile.''
Heather went on to say:
'When we all met on Friday night, she said that she wasn't getting out the water until she walked out of the water at Ryde and that it was so important to her.''
Only three people have completed the feat, with the last successful attempt in 1984.
