A woman arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a house in Fareham has been released without charge.
Police were called just after 11.30am on Sunday 12 January to a house in Gordon Road where the body of a man was found. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers from Hampshire Police identified him as Andrew Taylor, aged 41, of Osbourne Road South, Fareham.
A woman, also aged 41, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and detectives were given an extension for her to be held in custody until 11.15pm on Tuesday (14 January). She has now been released without charge.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:
"The results of the Home Office post mortem examination and an extensive investigation established that no criminal offences have been committed.
"A file has been prepared and sent to HM Coroner and an inquest will open in due course."
