A woman's been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a relative.
Raj Binder Kaur, 35, is accused of bludgeoning to death 56-year-old Baljit Kaur Buttar, who it is believed was over from India on a visit to her family.
Emergency services were called to a home in Broadlands Road, Southampton, last Friday morning where Mrs Buttar was found with severe head injuries. She died at the scene despite attempts to save her.
Kaur was one of four people arrested on suspicion of murder.
She appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on February 28th and the case was adjourned for a further hearing at Winchester Crown Court on March 2, a court official said.
A 30-year-old man also held on suspicion of murder was released on police bail until April 27. Two others were released without charge.
