A woman has pleaded not guilty to trying to murder her husband near Fawley.
John Stickland, from West Common, was found with serious head injuries on a grass verge by passers-by in May.
Police had originally thought the 73-year-old had been hit by a car.
His wife Sally Stickland - aged 72 - denied attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent at Winchester Crown Court.
We're told a psychological report is to be carried out within six weeks and a trial date will be set after December 11th 2013.
