Investigators from British Transport Police (BTP) have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a Southampton woman was touched indecently on a train on Wednesday, 3 October.
PC Mark Stook, investigating officer, said:
"Around 11.30am, the victim, a 23-year-old woman from Southampton, was travelling on a train between Southampton Central and Totton.
"During the journey, a man was sat behind the victim, and as the train approached Totton, he stood up and touched the victim in an indecent manner, before leaving the train.
"Police have conducted several lines of enquiry into the incident and have released images of a man they believe has key information about the incident.
PC Stook added:
"The incident understandably left the victim feeling shocked and shaken, and I would encourage anyone who recognises the man, or has any information to please get in touch."
