Woman Charged Over Isle Of Wight Acid Attack

Police have charged a woman in connection with an acid attack which left a 22-year-old with serious facial burns on the Isle of Wight.
Sau Lin-Hin, 48, of Mulberry Way in Ryde, Isle of Wight, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court today (Friday 6 June).
A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said:
"A 22-year-old woman from Sandown remains in a specialist burns unit, where she is undergoing treatment for serious facial burns, believed to be caused by a corrosive liquid.
"Police believe this is an isolated incident and are not looking for anyone else in relation to this attack.''
A 24-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been bailed until next week pending further inquiries.
