Woman Still Critical After M3 Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on the M3 near Basingstoke on Saturday night. (November 20)

Shortly before 11.30pm, a Renault Megane being driven by a 52-year-old man from Christchurch, was approaching the section of the road where the motorway splits with the A303, when it collided with the concrete barrier.

The car left the road ended up on its roof on the M3.

A 49-year-old woman, also from Christchurch, who was a passenger in the car sustained serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.

She remains in a critical condition.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has any information to get in touch.
