Investigation Into Welsh Paedophile

The police watchdog is looking at whether information about a paedophile from Cardiff was acted on quickly enough.

Former teacher Gareth Williams was among a group of sex offenders monitored by Canadian police.

They passed information to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre but there was a delay of a year before the police were informed.

48 year old Gareth Williams was jailed for 5 years at Cardiff Crown Court last May after admitting a number of child sex offences.
