Tom Daley Opens Up About His Sexuality

The 19 year old has released a youtube video to fans, admitting he's in a relationship "with a guy".

Olympic diver Tom Daley has revealed he is in a relationship with a man and "couldn't be happier''. 

The 19-year-old bronze medalist made the announcement in a self-made Youtube clip in which he said he wished to put an end to "rumours and speculation'' regarding his private life.

Daley said "Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they made me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great - and that someone is a guy. 

"It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in the back of my mind that something like that could happen, but it wasn't until spring this year that something just clicked, it felt right... my whole world just changed there and then."

In an emotional speech, the teenager reveals that his mum has given him her unconditional support. The teenager's dad Robert, died from a brain tumour aged 40 in 2011.
