A man has died after a car hit a tree in Blythburgh last night.
Police were called just before 5:45pm to reports of a black Toyota leaving the road and colliding with a tree.
The ambulance and fire service also attended the scene and the road was closed.
The driver, who was in his twenties, received serious injuries during the collision and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he later died.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in contact and are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a blue Citreon Saxo which was seen to stop at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
