A body of a man has this morning been found in water at the marina in Ipswich.
Police were called just after 5:50am by a passer-by who reported seeing a body in the water near to the lock gates.
Officers were sent and the body was pulled from the water.
The man has been confirmed as dead, and the body has been taken to Ipswich Hospital.
A cordon has been put in place at the marina and officers have been speaking to the man’s next of kin.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances."
