A month since a woman was found dead in a car park in Bury St Edmunds police continue to appeal for witnesses.
The body of 50-year-old Mary Roberts was found in a car park in Risbygate Street at around 9am on Wednesday 27 March.
Last night, Tuesday 23 April, police carried out anniversary checks in and around the area where Mary Roberts’ body was found.
The checks took place between 9pm and midnight with the hope that officers would be able to speak to people who had been in the area 4 weeks ago.
Officers spoke to 19 people within the St Edmunds Tavern public house and the Risbygate Street area of Bury St Edmunds. The information officers received will now be looked at to see if it can help with their enquiries.
Two men, aged 55 and 59 and both from the Bury St Edmunds area, who were arrested on suspicion of murder remain on police bail and are due to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on 4 and 5 June respectively.
Calls in relation to this incident should be made to the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
