Costessey: Body Found In River Wensum

A body, believed to be that of a man in his 80s who had been reported missing, has been found in a river in Costessey near Norwich.
The body was discovered at around 4.15pm yesterday (18th January) by members of the Fire and Rescue dive team. Search and rescue teams had spent yesterday and Friday looking for him.
The man was reported as missing from the area from 10am on Friday (17th January).
Next of kin have been advised and Her Majesty's Coroner will be informed in due course. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers received a call at about 1.20pm on Friday following the discovery of a Ford Focus car found abandoned close to the River Wensum at Costessey Mill in The Street, Costessey.
