Ipswich Assault: Man In A Critical Condition

A man's in a critical condition in hospital after an assault in Ipswich.

Police have told Heart they were called to a report of a man with a head injury in Civic Drive, Ipswich at around 6.30pm.

The man, aged 52 and from Ipswich was taken to Ipswich Hospital by Ambulance where his conditioned is described as critical.

A woman, aged 47 years and from Ipswich was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

An area along Civic Drive, near to the St Matthews Street roundabout has been contained with police cordon whilst police carry out a full investigation.
