Ipswich: Man Airlifted To Hospital

A man's been airlifted to hospital this morning with serious head injuries after cutting through an oil drum in Ipswich.

The Air Ambulance were called to the scene in Holywells Road at about 11.15am to reports of a man with “serious injuries”.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “We were called to reports of a male with head injuries after cutting through an oil drum.

“The air ambulance were called to take the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

The road was closed between the junctions with Duke Street and Landseer Road to allow the air ambulance to land.
