Ipswich: Man Arrested After Teen Assaulted

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment following an incident in Ipswich on Friday.

At around 3.15pm, police received reports  a man had assaulted a boy in his teens, at an address in London Road, Ipswich.  The boy received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

Police were also informed that the suspect had left the scene and was threatening to harm members of the public at an address in Cullingham Road.

Officers attended the address in Cullingham Road and a cordon was put in place whilst enquiries were carried out.

A 29-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested at the scene, on suspicion of assault, causing an affray and false imprisonment.   He is currently being questioned by detectives at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
