A 51-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault in Ipswich on Friday 1 November.
The ambulance service called police at around 3:20pm to a property in Garrick Way where the woman in her 40s was found unconscious. She was taken to Ipswich Hospital with life-threatening injuries where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
Lianjun Sun, of Cromer Road, Ipswich has been charged with attempted murder and has been remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday 5 November.
A 55-year-old man from Ipswich is due to return to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Tuesday 03 December having been released on police bail.
