Ipswich: Man Remanded In Custody

A man's been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with having an offensive weapon in a public place and robbery.

Joshua Ashton, aged 18, of Pin Mill Close, Ipswich has been remanded in custody and due to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on the 30th October. Ashton was also charged with failing to surrender to police/ court bail at the appointed time.

Two other people have been charged with robbery.

Jack Butcher, aged 18, of Dover Road, Ipswich is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on 22 October.

Devon Sherlock-Fleming, aged 18, of Wellington Street, Ipswich is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday 5 November.

The charges relate to an incident which happened on Friday 17 August in Ashcroft Road, where a mobile phone, a watch and two wallets were stolen.
