A 52-year-old man is due to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday 10 April, charged with four counts of supplying a class A drug as police continue the crackdown on dealers in Ipswich.

Alan McPhail, of Wilberforce Street in Ipswich, was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 9 April, following further warrants in the town.

He was interviewed before being charged with two counts of supplying heroin and two counts of supplying crack cocaine.

He has been detained in custody overnight to appear at Bury Magistrates from 9.30am today.
