Ipswich: Man In Court Charged With Murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in Chesterton Close in Ipswich.

Police were called to flats in the road at 4.52am on Saturday 22 October. 43-year-old Lee Jackson from Chesterton Close in Ipswich was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be shock caused by blood loss as a result of being assaulted with a knife.

21-year-old Sebastian Kornjaca, an electrical engineer from St Anthonys Cresent in Ipswich was arrested on Saturday morning and taken to the Ipswich Police Investigation Centre. He was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court earlier.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court tomorrow (Wednesday 26th October).
