Police are appealing for information after four people on two mopeds smashed the front of a jewellers at the Buttermarket in Ipswich.
Police were contacted just after 4.50pm on Monday 7th October to reports that two mopeds, each with two people on board, were trying to ram the jewellers. It’s thought the offenders were dressed in black clothing, with black helmets, and initial calls said they may have had hammers, axes or similar and that they headed off towards Crown Street/ Upper Brook Street
A search is underway to trace those responsible and officers are also starting investigations at the scene. At this stage it’s not clear what has been taken.
