Ipswich: Teenager Stabbed

A teenager is being taken to hospital after sustaining stab wounds on Russell Road in Ipswich today.

East of England Ambulance Service and air ambulance crews treated the 17-year-old boy on scene for injuries to his chest which are serious but not believed to be immediately life threatening.

The patient, who was conscious, breathing and walking, was then taken to Ipswich Hospital by land crews with air ambulance medics escorting.

EEAST was called at 4.24pm and crews arrived at 4.28pm.

Police were also called to the scene and the area has been cordoned off for investigations.

Two people have been arrested.

Suffolk Police are appealing for any witnesses to call Ipswich CID on 101.
