Ipswich: Woman Assaulted and Robbed

A woman has been robbed and assaulted in Ipswich after a man stopped her to ask the time.

Police are appealing for information following the robbery on Birkfield Drive i in the early hours of  Sunday 20 November.

At 12.15am a 24-year-old woman was approached by a man who asked her for the time before assaulting her. She fell to the ground and he threatened her before taking her watch and mobile phone. He assaulted her again before running off with a second man who had been on the opposite side of the road during the attack. She suffered facial and abdominal injuries.

The offender is described as of mixed race, in his early 20s, 5 foot 8 inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, a black and white scarf and shoes. He spoke with a London accent.
