Ipswich: Woman Reports Rape Attack

A woman has reported being raped in Ipswich by a man who had stopped her to ask for the time last night.
A 27 year old woman contacted police at around 10.40pm last night stating she had been grabbed by a man and raped earlier in the evening.
The victim had been walking along Norwich Road in Ipswich and turned into Cromer Road at around 8.30pm. Whilst walking along the road towards Bramford Lane she was approached by a man who asked her the time.
The man then took hold of the woman and pulled her into an area where bins area stored and raped her.
The man is described as mixed race, 35 – 40 years old with short black hair; he wore black jeans, black shoes and a black waist length jacket.
An area in Cromer Road has been cordoned off in order for crime scene investigators to carry out an investigation at the scene.
The victim has been seen by specialist trained officers and is receiving support.
