Police need to trace the owners of two Staffordshire Terrier-type dogs after a nine-year-old girl was bitten in an incident at Kirton Recreation Ground around 4.30pm - 4.45pm yesterday, Monday 23rd July.

Police were called just before 5.10pm by a father who reported his daughter had been at the recreation ground on Back Road with her sister when two dogs ran over to her and attacked her. The nine-year-old was bitten on the thigh, sustaining bite marks and drawing blood.

The dogs, both described as being golden brown in colour, were with a couple -  a man described as having grey hair and wearing a hat and glasses, and a woman described as having cropped mousey brown hair.

Police need to speak to them and are asking them, anyone with information about who they are or anyone who witnessed the incident to call PC 485 Cohen at Felixstowe police on 101.
