Police in Lowestoft are asking anyone who was in the Homefield Avenue area on between 2.40am and 3am to come forward.
Following further interviews the woman has now told police the incident happened in a garden off Homefield Avenue in the early hours of Saturday, February 2nd, not as she had originally reported in a field off Britten Road in Lowestoft.
CCTV enquiries have revealed the woman left Hush nightclub, on Lowestoft seafront, around 2.40am in the company of a male described as white, with short dark hair and wearing a hooded top, who was smoking a cigarette. The man initially approached a doorman at Hush to speak to him and then spoke to the 21-year-old who was sitting on the steps of the club.
The two then walked around the corner, and stood along the wall of the Hotel Hatfield, and appear to share a cigarette and talk before walking away along Wellington Esplanade.
Police need to trace this man and are asking him, or anyone who may have seen the two together, to come forward.
Anyone who can help is asked to call Lowestoft CID on 101.
