Lowestoft: Armed Robber Scared Off

A robber armed with a knife has been scared off in Lowestoft after a worker set off a personal alarm.
Police in Lowestoft are now appealing for witnesses after the attempted robbery.
At approximately 6.20pm on Friday 2nd December a man entered the store in Oxford Road, Lowestoft and asked the female shop assistant for change. When she refused he then demanded money, produced a small knife and attempted to open the till himself.
The man ran from the shop empty handed when the shop assistant sounded a personal safety alarm and called for help.
The man is described as white, aged in his late 30s, early 40s, around 5’9’’ – 5’10’’ tall, of stocky build, he spoke with a local accent and wore a beige coloured fleece, a dark beanie hat and a red and black scarf, which was partially covering his face.
