New Fluffy Arrival!


Staff at Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre are very proud to introduce to our visitors, penguin 'Pitcher' Great Yarmouth's Sea Life Centre first successfully born and bred penguin!

Pitcher hatched in April and has had the displays team here in Gt Yarmouth SEA LIFE acting like any first time parents, from making sure he is getting enough to eat to worrying about how he is coping with the 'great British weather'.

Pitcher is a Humboldt penguin his parents are Mumbles and Woody.


Humboldt penguins are on the endangered species list there are believed to be approximately only 10,000 remaining worldwide. Mumbles and Woody were both captive-born themselves only four years ago, at Sea Life centres in Scarborough and Weymouth.
