Newmarket: Third Arrest After A Man Was Stabbed

Police have arrested a third person following a stabbing in Newmarket at the weekend.
Officers were contacted by the ambulance service at 2:05pm on Saturday (20th July). They were attending the scene after reports of a man in St Anthony with stab wounds to his upper body.
The man, who is in his twenties, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A 29-year-old woman from Newmarket was arrested yesterday afternoon (Sunday 21st July) on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (PIC).
A 24-year-old man from London arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 21-year-old woman from Newmarket arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender had already been arrested and remained at the Bury St Edmunds PIC last night after a Superintendent authorised a 12-hour extension of their custody time limits.
