Norfolk Police say they are investigating after somebody appeared to tweet yesterday that they'd knocked a cyclist off their bike in Norwich.

The tweet was retweeted to Norwich Police who got involved, messaging the author back.  They wrote: "we have had tweets ref an RTC with a bike. We suggest you report it at a police station ASAP if not done already & then dm us".

The messages also appeared on Twitter with the man claiming to be the cyclist getting involved too.

Later Norwich Police tweeted their followers to tell them: "Thank you to all those that have forwarded tweets on a bike RTC. We have the info we need and are making further enqs."

Now Norfolk Police have confirmed they have spoken to both the cyclist and the driver and their enquiries are continuing.
