A man's been arrested and bailed after an allegation of a serious sexual assault at one of the region's biggest events
A 24-year-old man was arrested after police received an allegation of rape from a 20-year-old woman attending the Latitude Festival at Henham Park near Southwold.
Police were alerted around 7am on Sunday morning. The incident is alleged to have happened inside a tent on the staff campsite and the area was been cordoned off for investigations.
It's thought both parties were known to each other prior to attending the festival.
The 20-year-old woman has been spoken to by specially trained officers to get a full account of what occurred.
The 24-year-old man from Ipswich has been released on bail to return to Lowestoft police station on September the 14th pending further inquiries.
