Rendlesham: Sexual Assault

The 15 year old says it happened in Suffolk Drive in Rendlesham two Saturdays ago.

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old girl reported being sexually assaulted in Suffolk Drive in Rendlesham on the evening of Saturday 3 December.

Police were contacted on Friday afternoon, 9 December, about the incident.

The 15-year-old reported that she had been walking home along the road just after 8pm and was opposite the entrance to Avocet Mews when she was grabbed by a man and pulled into a ditch at the side of the road.

The man then sexually touched her before she managed to get free. The 15-year-old ran home.

The man is described as white, in his late teens, of medium build, around 5ft 8 – 5ft 9ins tall, and wore a black hooded top/jacket with the hood up and dark jeans. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around this time, regardless of whether you think you saw anything or not, to come forward.
