A woman and two children have been rescued by fire crews after a house fire on Humphry Road in Sudbury in Suffolk this morning.
At 06:17 Suffolk Fire and Rescue received a call from a neighbour to a smoke alarm sounding and a smell of smoke when she tried to alert the occupants.
Two appliances from Sudbury were initially mobilised to this incident.
Crews arrived on scene at 06:29 and requested a further appliance due to people being reported inside the house.
A further appliance was mobilised from Long Melford and an ambulance was immediately requested.
At 06:37 crews informed fire control this was a two storey mid terrace property with light smoke logging on ground floor.
Crews forced entry and rescued one woman and two children under 5 years old.
This was due to a small fire in a grill pan.
