Damon Albarn will appear at this year's Latitude festival in his first ever solo headline performance.
The Blur frontman, also known for his side projects Gorillaz, supergroup The Good, The Bad and The Queen and his Mali Music collaboration, confirmed his appearance at the Suffolk event after the announcement earlier today that he will release his first official solo album in April.
His performance in the Saturday night slot will showcase material from his first ever solo album Everyday Robots.
A festival spokesman said: "Damon Albarn is a perfect fit for such an innovative festival and now audiences will be delighted to see him appear for his first ever festival performance as a solo artist.
"His eclectic musical style and observational lyrics have made him one of the UK's most influential and consistently interesting musicians.''
The arts and music festival takes place in the grounds of Henham Park near Southwold from July 17 to July 20.
Albarn previously appeared at Latitude in 2007 with The Good, The Bad and The Queen.
Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club have already been announced as Latitude headliners, appearing alongside acts such as Norwegian electronic duo Royksopp and Swedish indie-pop pioneer Robyn, in a special joint-appearance.
Other highlights will include Billy Bragg and Memphis soul legend Booker T. Jones.
