Suffolk Plane Crash: Police Name Pilot

Police have named a man killed in a plane crash in Suffolk.

56-year-old Gregory Clipstone from Opal Avenue in Ipswich was the pilot of the plane that came down in Aldham near Hadleigh on Saturday afternoon.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) are still investigating what caused the light aircraft to crash.

Suffolk Police say they are also working with the AAIB to put a file together for the Coroner.

 

The family of Gregory Clipstone who died in a light aircraft crash in Aldham on Saturday 8 December has asked usto issue the following tribute and photo on their behalf:

Greg was a loving husband, father,brother, friend and recently grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, flying, and riding his motorcycle. He was always willing to help his friends, family and many loyal customers.

A firm believer that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to; he has always been an inspiration as a father and to those around him.

A man of great integrity and honesty, he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
